STRONGER TOGETHER!

October 24, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Women are the backbone of civilization and are stronger together. Historically, women were in the background and given a box to operate within. We’ve made strides to advance our voices and get the care we deserve, while also being a shoulder to cry on and nurturers of future generations. We do it all, but not alone. We’ll reflect on historical advances women have made, the community of women who helped shape us, and the strength in the family-like bonds with Surviving and Thriving. Come relish in the strides we’ve made and the community of strong women around us.

Genevieve is an Oncology Social Worker at the Penrose Saint Francis Cancer Centers in Colorado Springs. She grew up in Castle Rock Colorado back when it was a small farm town and went to Regis University where she double majored in Psychology and Neuroscience. After her undergrad she did a year of service in Juneau Alaska where she fell in love with social justice and working with vulnerable populations. Genevieve is a Licensed Social Worker who believes vulnerability is the birthplace for wisdom, connection, and growth. Along with loving being an Oncology Social Worker, she also loves star gazing, knitting, playing sports, and cooking.
